Course Content
Buildings use up to 40% of Denmark’s total energy consumption. In order to meet the government’s and the EU’s goal of reducing the energy consumption of the existing building stock by at least 50% by the year 2050, massive investments in renovation projects are required.
At the same time, the requirements for the design and use of our buildings are changing.
The students prepare a Tender Project and Execution Project for a building renovation, with the following objectives:
• Analysis of the submitted Design Proposal
• Design necessary changes to building structures to make it possible to carry out the Design Proposal
• Design a new bathroom
• Design changes to the climate shield proposed in the Energy Label.
• Design new water, drainage, heating and ventilation installations
• Design and document the Sustainability Proposals listed in the Design Proposals
• Economic assessment of the costs of the proposed solutions.
