Building installations and indoor climate

Overall Course Objectives

Through the teaching and self-study, the student will acquire knowledge about the choice of installation principles and management strategy for ventialtion, cooling and heating in complex buildings.

Learning Objectives

  • Evaluate and analyze forms of energysupply forventilation, cooling and heating
  • Assess and design advanced heating and ventilation as well as cooling systems for a larger building.
  • Prepare a main project for integrated heating cooling and ventilation
  • Use BIM as a design and dimensioning tool for mechanical installations.
  • Compile selected HVAC parts of preliminary and main projects for BMS, including functional descriptions and principle diagrams for selected plants
  • Use of indoor climate simulation for planning heating, cooling and ventilation systems
  • Documents, argues and communicates the chosen solutions in writing and orally
  • Explain for the cooperation of the group.

Course Content

Mechanical installations are necessary for us to provide a good indoor climate and to ensure comfort in all buildings.
The course includes project proposals, for these installations for a complicated building, with evaluating different designs of these.

Procurement / export project is carried out for heating, cooling, ventilation and associated automation.

62319/62283/62261/62271/41452, It is assumed that students have the necessary academic prerequisites within the subject areas covered by all the above courses.

-Project work, classroom teaching, home assignments, course work and self-study.
