Masterclass in Sustainable Progress – Breaking Barriers and Building Futures – FULLY BOOKED

FULLY BOOKED – Free masterclass by DTU Executive MBA and Master in Sustainable Leadership with panelists Dr. David Monciardini and Prof. Karyn Morrissey facilitated by Dr. Salla Laasonen.

Join us for an enlightening masterclass on “Sustainable Progress – Breaking Barriers and Building Futures”. Leading researchers, alongside the industry representative, Marco Kisic, will explore breaking through their own vacuum chambers and leaning towards, rather than away from, dissimilar viewpoints.

Please join us for what promises to be a provocative evening where we teach and learn to free ourselves from simplistic truths and rigid thinking to foster a sustainable economy.

As a sustainable champion, or gas guzzler, we invite you to sit in discomfort as two leading sustainability scholars and industry representatives discuss humanities greatest challenge, the creation of a vibrant, sustainable, and equitable future for all.

Participants will leave the event with:

  • An appreciation of the critical issues and actors and their interconnections
  • An understanding of the concept of vibrant sustainability
  • A toolkit to navigate complexity and bridge divides.
  • Treat antagonistic viewpoints as a source of learning

For this panel discussion, we have invited Dr. David Monciardini and Prof. Karyn Morrissey. David Monciardini is a Senior Researcher in Business Economics at the University of Turin. His research investigates the role of legal and social norms in the relationship between business entities and socio-ecological systems. Until March 2024, David held a position at the University of Exeter Business School as Director of the Law and Business programmes. Karyn Morrissey is Professor in Applied Economics in the Division for Climate and Energy Policy at DTU. She has a backgorund as an economist and has an interest in utilizing digital twins to analyze climate change adaptation policies and their impact on both public health and natural resources. The panel discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Salla Laasonen, Academic Director for the Executive Master in Sustainable Leadership programme. Marco Kisic is Managing Director and Head of ESG Research at Nordea Markets.
