Water and soil properties
Overall Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to provide activities enabling students to acquire knowledge in general concepts involving hydrology, hydraulics and geology, focusing on processes and interactions related to water cycle, fluid dynamics and soil properties.

Learning Objectives
- Explain an area’s topography and soil characteristics.
- Understand the main natural landscapes and geological structures in Denmark.
- Explain soil properties and groundwater concepts.
- Differentiate and explain principles of foundations.
- Apply hydraulic energy and energy losses principles.
- Design and calculate a water network for drinking water supply.
- Understand the interactions among soil, geology, and water cycle
- Apply the theoretical concepts in engineering solutions
