Introduction to Cyber Technology
Overall Course Objectives
The overall purpose with the course:
– To give a general introduction to studying at DTU and at BSc Cyber Technology in particular. This includes development of good study and work habits.
– To introduce different applications of the education field.
– To make a coupling between the generic courses in the education
– To develop and document software, which communicates via the Internet

Learning Objectives
- Organise project and lab work in groups
- Document project work in written reports
- Evaluate and provide feedback on written reports
- Use DTU’s electronic platforms including how to build and maintain a study plan
- Develop study techniques and reflect over the individual study approach
- Describe typical elements of a communication system from client/server/sensor to client/server/sensor
- Develop software, which can exchange information via the Internet
- Use Python for multi threaded programming in relation to communication
- Apply simple protocols for secure data transmission
Course Content
Development of study techniques, reflection over attitude towards studying, glimpse of the educations’ topics, study structure, python for communication, web-server, innoation, GUI development, multithreading, secure communication.
