The Flexible Master has been designed in collaboration with the world around us and the companies involved in and with Power-to-X, aiming at people who dream of pursuing a meaningful career within Power-to-X. The programme is designed to be flexible both across Danish universities as well as in duration to cater for where you are both in your career and family life. For this education it is possible to take a combination of courses from master and bachelor programmes, candidate or PhD programmes offered by AAU, AU, DTU and SDU.

- System Integration
- Energy Storage Technologies
Tailored study plan for your specific needs
The Flexible Master is an individually planned master’s programme. You can combine elements from various established programmes. The study plan is an admission requirement, which is signed by the student, supervisor, and the chairman of the study board.
In order to be enrolled in a Flexible Master’s programme at all, you must have at least two years of relevant work experience – in addition to having obtained a bachelor’s technical or scientific degree. During your studies you will follow advanced courses, obtain a total of 60 ECTS-points and the academic title of ‘Master’.
Programme structure
To become a Flexible Master in Power-to-X, you need to complete master courses (45 ECTS) followed by a final project (15 ECTS). You can complete the programme in two years or extend your studies up to six years. We recommend that you plan out your studies from the beginning. You can modify your individual study plan any time.
The workload per course is equivalent to approximately 140 hours per 5 ECTS. The number of hours includes time spent on attending classes as well as time spent on preparation and any assignments, examinations, and the like. Since the courses run over 13 weeks, you should estimate approx. 10 hours per course, per week.

Guidance and plan
A Master in Power-to-X is organized in collaboration with you. You must apply for admission to the university where you think you will take most courses or write your final project, but you can choose courses from any of the universities.

You can get credit for up to 10 ECTS points obtained on master’s modules or master’s subjects abroad. Credit is assessed by the supervisor. The individual courses and a graduation project will give you a clear professional progression and profile as well as a level of competence corresponding to master’s level.
If you meet the admission requirements, you will be assigned a supervisor who will help you put together an education plan. The plan must set goals, content, timetable etc. for your courses and for the agreement between you and the university.
Individual courses and the graduation project must correspond to one year of full-time study (60 ECTS-point). Most individual courses are worth 5 ECTS-points, and the graduation project is worth 15 ECTS-points. However, some courses are worth 10 ECTS-points. The education can be organized as full-time or part-time study.
The master’s programme must be completed within a period of six years.

Prices
A fee is charged both for the initial guidance and for courses. The price may vary slightly for the individual universities. In addition, there may be extra payment for laboratory work. Rates are indicative.

Terms of payment
Payment by credit card
When you sign up for one of our courses your payment should preferably be made by credit card at our website.
Payment by invoice
At our website in the checkout form you can also choose invoice payment with a payment term of 30 days. Be aware that invoices will be issued in DKK. It is fine to transfer the payment in EUR if this is more convenient to you. However, remember to include the invoice number on the transfer information.
Failure to meet the payment deadline
Participants are requested to pay the course fee within 30 days as stated in the invoice terms of payments. The course fees need to appear in our bank account before the invoice due date and the course starts, otherwise we reserve the right to cancel your participation.
Participants who have not paid their previous course fees are withdrawn from the study administration system and will no longer be able to enrol for courses or examinations.
N.B: You will not be charged until your application has been read through and approved.
Application
How to apply
If you wish to apply for admission to the Flexible Master in Power-to-X programme or individual courses, please fill in the application form and attach the following documents. Note that applications MUST include all the below documents.
- Diploma(s) for prior education. The diplomas should be certified diploma(s) in English.
- CV. Clearly state where you have worked, in what period, and what relevant assignments you have carried out.
- If applicable: A copy of your residence permit (only if you are not an EU/EEA citizen)
- If applicable: Transcript of Grades: an overview of your grades from your prior education in English.
When we have received your application, we will carry out a screening for both the formal and academic admission requirements.
You will be notified about the outcome by email no later than two months after registration has closed.
