Learning Objectives

  • Identify a complex building and explain your choice
  • Describe the challenges for establishing and maintaining fire safety in a complex building
  • Independendly search, find and refer to relevant literature
  • Apply regulations and legislation related to complex buildings
  • Explain the basic principles of numerical models for complex buildings
  • Elaborate evacuation strategies of relevance for complex buildings
  • Elaborate solutions for problems occuring when applying exixting laws and regulations on complex buildings
  • Elaborate solutions for problems regarding fire installations applied in complex buildings
  • Explain the basic principles when carrying out numerical evacuation calculations on complex buildings

Minimum: 10, Maximum: 40.

Please be aware that this course has a minimum requirement for the number of participants needed, in order for it to be held. If these requirements are not met, then the course will not be held. Furthermore, there is a limited number of seats available. If there are too many applicants, a pool will be created for the remainder of the qualified applicants, and they will be selected at random. You will be informed 8 days before the start of the course, whether you have been allocated a spot.
