Webinar: Assessing Deep Tech Readiness for Scale with BCSA

Many deep tech companies struggle not because the technology is weak, but because the offering is not yet mature enough to support scalable growth. In this webinar, DTU and Nordic Alpha Partners introduce the BCSA model — Better, Cheaper, Simpler, Available — as a practical framework for assessing value proposition maturity beyond traditional product-market fit thinking.

Participants will gain insights into how investors, board members and operators can use BCSA to evaluate whether a solution is truly ready for commercial and industrial scaling, and hear reflections from a former GRIP participant on how such tools can be applied in practice.

Content:

  • Introduction to the BCSA model: Better, Cheaper, Simpler, Available
  • How BCSA helps assess whether a deep tech solution is likely to be widely adopted by stakeholders in its value chain
  • Why the classic value prop of being better and cheaper is less important in industrial growth journeys
  • How investors and operators can use BCSA as a practical lens for evaluating scalability
  • Reflections from a former GRIP participant on applying the tools in practice
  • Introduction to the Global Re-Industrialisation Programme (GRIP)

Audience:

Investors, board members, senior executives in deep tech and industrial scale-ups, business developers, innovation leaders, and others working with commercialization, scaling and investment readiness in technology-driven companies.

Takeaway:

Participants will gain a practical introduction to the BCSA model and a clearer understanding of how features and price are less important when it comes to the scalability of deep tech companies. They will also get concrete perspectives on how such tools can be applied in practice by investors, boards and operators.
