- Explain significant parts of the Certification Act
- Determine the right usage categories for a building site
- Determine the risk class and fire class for a building project
- Explain methods concerning active and passive fire safety measures
- Assess the building material’s fire behavior properties
- Assess the choice of test method and classification for materials and elements
- Make an assessment of the fire safety of a building assigned to BK2
- Develop a fire strategy report for a traditional building design
- Explain the design process particular to BK2 construction
- Document the fire safety for BK2 construction
- Make contol plans and control of fire protection

It is expected that the student has knowledge of the content of BR18 and associated guidance to Chapter 5 on fire, including appendices. The teaching will to a large extent include BR18 and the accompanying guidance with appendices, but the focus will primarily be on application in practice and focus in particular on BK2 construction.

Minimum: 12, Maximum: 40.
Please be aware that this course has a minimum requirement for the number of participants needed, in order for it to be held. If these requirements are not met, then the course will not be held. Furthermore, there is a limited number of seats available. If there are too many applicants, a pool will be created for the remainder of the qualified applicants, and they will be selected at random. You will be informed 8 days before the start of the course, whether you have been allocated a spot.
