Integrated analog electronics 1

Overall Course Objectives

To enable the student to analyze and use analog amplifier circuits with the main emphasis on integrated circuits in CMOS technology.

Learning Objectives

  • Knowledge of large-signal and small-signal models for MOS transistors and being able to use these models in circuit calculations.
  • Analyze single-transistor amplifier stages realized with MOS transistors
  • Analyze differential stages realized with MOS transistors
  • Use multistage amplifiers realized with MOS transistors
  • Analyze circuits with negative feedback
  • Design a simple two-stage operational amplifier realized with MOS transistors
  • Analyse simple circuits for generating bias currents and voltages
  • Simulate CMOS integrated circuits using LTspice
  • Understand Danish as well as English electro-technical terminology
  • Be able to explain challenges in connection with practical implementation of MOSFET-circuits.
